The Arab cinema has lost an actor who was always a unique personality on and off the screen; the great artist Hisham Selim passed at the age of 64 after suffering from cancer. Since the end of the seventies and over forty years, he has presented many important films, including “Eghteyal Madrasa”, “AlHagama”, “Crystal”, “Ard Al Ahlam”, “Ya Dunia Ya Gharamy”, “Al-Asefa”, “Kalam Fel Hob” and “Al-Nazir”.
He also starred in several television series, including, of course, “Layaly Al Helmeya” and “Arabesque” along with the famous play “Sharea Mohamed Ali.”
The artist and festival’s president, Hussein Fahmy, and festival director, Amir Ramses, express their deep sorrow for the loss of the great artist Hesham Selim wishing his family and fans patience and solace.
